AAIA Triple A Run/Walk 2010

From East to West — Start to Finish — the 2010 AAIA Triple A Run/Walk events were a huge success!

A last Thank You to Saskia Brussaard from Crave Public Relations who joined us this year and got the word out to so many more people.

Whitby ON:

Now in its 5th year, this is where it all began. It continues to be a shining example of how one person’s dream can result in an event that raises awareness of anaphylaxis, asthma and allergies, raises funds for research and education, and inspires other individuals to join and be part of something great. Many Thanks to Anne Pitt and her team of Wild Women for keeping the vision alive in 2010.

Kelowna BC:

We were blessed with a great waterfront location, the support of local businesses, many wonderful participants and rainclouds that only threatened. We thank the 56 enthusiastic volunteers who made the event happen. Dr Hein Reeves, a Kelowna allergist, brought along an amazing number of 5K walkers. We are deeply grateful to everyone who was part of this day in some way.

Ottawa ON:

For a first year event, this site was simply amazing, with over 300 participants, a beautiful course along the water, sunshine, a children’s play area, etc. The volunteers at this event did a spectacular job and all should be very proud. Special Thank You to the core organizing team: Indica Tenden, David Barron and Joe Duvall.

Bedford NS:

The rain didn’t dampen spirits of participants or volunteers—at least those under the tents! We were pleased to have a great showing again from our allergy community, with Dr Watson, Ann Marie Woodrow, and Dr Kapur present. Sara Shannon’s inspirational words touched us all and we were grateful she could share the day with us.

Windsor ON:

This event is a true celebration of dedication and commitment to a cause that means the world to one family with a child with anaphylaxis, asthma and allergies.

Just shy of 100 participants, this site is where one would be catered to with exceptional food, entertainment by Kyle Dine, and cake in celebration of Sara Shannon’s special day.

Thank You does not begin to express the gratitude that is extended to Melody, Jamie, Ashley and Emily Poulin for their continued commitment and labours of love.

A big thank you to our principal sponsor
